Sprawling two-and-a-half acres, Casa Tierra is an updated 1950s hacienda-style home featuring stunning panoramic views of its desert surroundings. It’s also the vacation home of Design Expert and Emmy-Winning TV Host, Bobby Berk. When planning his outdoor living spaces, Bobby wanted to showcase the surroundings without detracting from them, so he turned to TimberTech’s nature-inspired beauty for not just one, but three decks, including his newest — a spacious and stunning yoga deck.

While you probably know him best from the Emmy Award-winning show, Queer Eye, designer Bobby Berk also leads an interior design firm and creates a self-branded line of modern furniture and home décor. With such a discerning eye, his decision to choose TimberTech for his outdoor living space is high praise.

Looking for a light, natural color that complemented the Palm Desert environment surrounding Casa Tierra, Bobby chose Weathered Teak from the Vintage Collection®. “This TimberTech color is unlike any other I’ve found in the market,” said Bobby. “They’re the only one with a light wood color that actually looks like wood.”
From the muted color scheme to the bright white stucco-clad walls, Bobby’s outdoor living space lives and breathes Southwest vibes — without distracting from the surrounding desert hillsides.
